More tests
Well, for the good news, I got 100% on my linguistics test :D yay! Bad news... I have my second orgo test next Thursday, and I haven't been to class in a while and I have genetics the Tuesday after orgo. Ahhh I'm so screwed. Speaking of screwed, I totally forgot I had an advisor's meeting today, and completely missed it. Now my advisor's gonna hate me ><; Must go apologize now.

Updatesss
So I just finished my first Linguistics test a few mins ago [yes only took me ~35mins] but it was only like 7 questions so not that bad. I probably spent around 2-3hrs doing the study questions... ><;; I have genetics recitation at 3:25 so I have a few mins before class starts, so I'll update, since I just got back my Genetics test this morning. Yeah this test wasn't so happy. I failed D: 75.5% ><; At least it's a scaled B+ and since I did well on the first test... I have a 85.1% average in the class right now... barely an A, since 85% is an A in this course. I need to get a 90% on my next genetics test now, and like a 90% on the final ><; I hate being at the border between an A and A- because I always end up failing the final and dropping to the lower or, if not even lower one. I hope I didn't fail the linguistics test...
I have a Chinese presentation tomorrow on 中国古代神话故事, that I just started basically yesterday and that I'm really screwed for because I'm supposed to memorize everything I'm going to say, so yeah... that's not happening.
On the happier note though, I don't have tests next week :DDDDD My next exam is 11/05/09, which is my second orgo exam. I should start studying for that now because I have no idea what's going on in orgo right now. I also should catch up in Genetics because my next genetics test is 11/10 ><;
I think I'll go play bridge now, then go to recitation. Hopefully, I'll work on my mandarin presentation after recitation and then go to badminton at 6.

Starting Second Round of Exams
So I'm have my second Genetics test tomorrow on CHPs 4, 5, 6, and up to 7.6 at 8:00 am x_X... Ugh I hate waking up early... Orgo's at 7:30 and genetics' at 8:00. So I only sort of know the materials of CHP4 and like parts of 5 and I'm trying to learn 6 right now and sorta failing... I'm gonna give up and play bridge by myself at Carlson, until lab lecture starts...

Orgo Scores--
So uhh... I thought I failed and I should have failed, but omg the orgo scale is big.
Basically, I get an email saying:
Dear LAN,
Your Preliminary 1 exam grade is 84 out of a possible 104 pts. The APPROXIMATE grade values are given below.
A > 80
B 79-62
C 61-45
D-E < 45
The class average is 66 with a std. dev. of 16 pts. The answers to this exam are on the CHM 203 website under Current Exams.
omg thank you pplz for the awesome curve...
Looking at this... I think I got an A-?, unless he doesn't give +s or -s... which would make me really happy right now :D;

Exams Round 1 for the Sciences
SO I just finished round one of exams for my sciences classes this morning [Orgo and Genetics] and my scores are the two extremes >_<.
Let's just say... I failed one and did well on the other.
So I dragged myself outta bed at 6:00 am this morning, and still ended up failing my first orgo exam... what a waste of ...waking up effort.
Goodman posted answers up 30mins after the exam was over. I was like whoa... and of course, then I realized I probably failed it T_T.
I'll find out my exact score and post it up later maybe... I'm gonna go drown my sorrows in Shengji w/Moxi, TJ, Enoch, Delaware Kid, maybe Xu and maybe others-
Anyways, so I got my genetics grade on Monday... that was happy :D: 48.5/50 when an 85% is an A. Except then I realized... I was being retarded on that 0.5pts because I forgot to label one person on the pedigree out of 21 people ><;;;...

Random 30mins break
So after eating at Meliora today with Enoch, Vivian, and Xu, I had an extra 30minutes before my class started at 2, so I thought I should update my schedule with orgo workshop and lab updated, so I made another schedule. Yellow = badminton [didn't put Saturday practices in], Red = food times, and Green = classes.
My final schedule for Fall 2009:

Opinions so far on classes
Linguistics: Ughhhh so much reading... On the bright side, it might increase my reading speed, that is, IF I do the readings. And apparently, we have this language project where you research a language, like its background information, it's phonetics/grammar structures, etc. So the language I got was "Koyukon" and it has a total of like half a page worth of information on the "background information" and then maybe another half on its grammar/phonetics, etc. So basically... I am once again screwed for a social science course. I will need to ask my teacher what I can do about it before or after class today at 2pm [~38 more minutes].
Chinese: I didn't think it was going to be this bad D: It's like all cultural stuff. The first chapter is like a 4-5page essay on basins, plateaus, mountains, rivers, etc, in China. I was like wtf. Like half my reading page thing was covered in pin yin. Okay that's a bit of an exaggeration, but still... it's like all proper nouns and we need to memorize them and write essays. I feel like it's going to be a history class, except taught in Chinese which makes it 9823472 times worse D:
Genetics: The teacher seems like a cool person. I'm just a bit worried what it'll be like after "real class" starts. Because first few classes, she was like "we're going to go really slowly..." and everyone in the class was like oh crap -starts writing- The first break I get from writing in genetics is around 10:38 [Class starts at 10:00 and ends at 10:50]. So we've had two classes so far, and she's covered half of chapter two already. I'll need to figure out how to work my voice recorder soon... like tonight after badminton. Oh and I have my first genetics recitation today at 3:25... I think.
Organic Chemistry: Yay everyone's favorite class and the class all premed students are dying to take. Well the teacher seems like a fun teacher; it's just that he ends almost all of his sentences with "okay", which can get a bit annoying. So first day of class, he decided to tell us a dumb blond joke, saying ahead of time "I'm sure there are no blonds in this class, if there are, you can go dye your hair".
So basically, the joke goes like this:
Three women go down to Mexico one night to celebrate college graduation. They get drunk and wake up in jail, only to find that they are to be executed in the morning - though none of them can remember what they did the night before.
The first one, a redhead, is strapped in the electric chair and is asked if she has any last words. She says, “I just graduated from Trinity Bible College and believe in the almighty power of God to intervene on the behalf of the innocent.” They throw the switch and nothing happens. They all immediately fall to the floor on their knees, beg for forgiveness, and release her.
The second one, a brunette, is strapped in and gives her last words. “I just graduated from the Harvard School of Law and I believe in the power of justice to intervene on the part of the innocent.” They throw the switch and again, nothing happens. Again they all immediately fall to their knees, beg for forgiveness and release her.
The last one (you know it), a blonde, is strapped in and says, “Well, I’m from the University of Texas and just graduated with a degree in Electrical Engineering, and I’ll tell ya right now, ya’ll ain’t gonna electrocute nobody if you don’t plug this thing in.”
And then he decided to use this joke to lecture us about something, but I forget what it was -.-;;;. So orgo seems like a fairly fun class, but we haven't learned much in lecture yet. He quickly went through isomers and what cis and trans were. In orgo workshop, my TA was like "trans and cis" and someone was like "wait cyst?" He's like "no cis", she's like "cyst....?" he was like "NO C-I-S" I was like lol cis does look more like a cyst than trans does. So now I'll remember which is which :D

Aging
Pretty soon, I'll be 19, which is a year away from 20, which is halfway to 40. I have one more year [+ like 3 days...] to enjoy my "teens" age because then I'll be twenty, not a teen anymore D: I'll be OLD.
It's my brother's birthday tomorrow, and he's turning 8. When you're that age, you're still like happy because birthday means presents, friends come over, go out to eat at a restaurant, and of course eat cake. Yeah those were fun days. Now, though, it's strange to have a birthday party because you're "too old." It's like a family thing I guess for birthdays of people my age. It's usually just eat a cake at home with the family. At this age, we don't usually invite friends over, havea big party. At least, I usually don't. And I don't really care that much about the presents thing, since "I'm too told for that." Especially since my birthday's two days after my brother's, my family just goes out to eat for one of us. Now that my grandpa's here too, his birthday will be celebrated with ours too, since it's also tomorrow, the same as my brother's birthday.
My birthday is now an indifferent thing. It wouldn't be YAY happy if my brother's birthday wasn't so close. He gets some presents and a few of them are pretty cool, so I usually end up playing with them >.<... :D.
I feel like this age sucks, like the ages between 18 - 21. You're in college, learning mostly things you'll never use again in your life. I want to be applying to medical schools. With my current GPA, I might actually get in somewhere, whereas I might not in a few years. Hopefully my GPA won't drop. I wanna be prepping for the MCATs, so I can challenge the standarized tests again, and hopefully, triumph over them. I want it to be the summer after my senior year. That's probably the next time I get to go to China to visit relatives I haven't seen since 2004 and maybe even vist Japan.
Yeah so my conclusion for this morning is aging sucks. I don't want to grow up. I wanna run away from responsibility, too, and all the other hardships of REAL life. PETER PAN WHERE ARE YOU?

What to write...
I've been outta interesting things to write about, so I'm not really sure what to say. I predicted this was coming when I said I was going to post more often and then run out of things to say. So, yay! My prediction's right.
So right now, the task I've been assigned to do is to basically assign specimens to a TMA Block which consists of 360 samples x___X. It's basically click sample, click assign, click the thing I assign... x360... T.T Tedious/boring D:... That's like ...
1
360
x 3
____
1080 (yay math)
1080 Clicks D:
Also, my white manager isn't here (She's gone this week) and my azn manager has two appointments today, so she's leaving at like 12:30. Hmmmmm............... I wonder what I'll do then...................... Maybe I'll go find some corner no one goes to like my desk and sleep

Why do we reject the things we clearly want?
Why do we reject the things we clearly want? Like someone offers you candy. You clearly want it, so then why do you force yourself to reject the offer anyways? Is it pride? Self-image?

Update on Schedule... #idk
I'm pretty sure this will be my final schedule for next year...
Unless I change maybe a few recitations and labs around, otherwise, this will be my final schedule. I might change bio recitation and lab to wednesday just to make my Tursdays and Thursdays happier. But yes, I'm like 99% sure that these will be the classes I end up taking for next semester.
[I lol @ the Hutch Hutch Hutch Mel Hutch Hutch Hutch (rooms)]
Also, kinda interesting how my Tuesdays and Thursdays start when my Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays end. It's like I have 3 completely full days on separate days lol... I wish linguistics was MWF 2:00 - 2:50, then everything would work out perfectly :D

Presentation
T__________________T. It's like my worst nightmare, speaking in front of many people that is. I have no self confidence at all and I have to do well on this presentation or it'll make my mom look bad --> mom lose job --> no money --> financial crisis --> can't pay for college --> can't live. Yeah no pressure at all... I haven't begun really prepping for it, but I shall work on it today and I'm supposed to get the basic outline done by Friday so my managers can help me correct it, and then my presentation is like at 2pm next Wednesday, August 12th, 2009. It'll be my first formal presentation... ugh so nervous... I'll post how well/crappy of a job I do afterwards ><;
As a response...
As a response to my previous question, it is too much to ask for because I'm "crap" and "don't deserve to be complimented."
She just disowned me this morning.

Financial Aid...
So I can't read or add... because apparantly they gave me an extra $2,600 after my appeal letter, not $600. I blame their... many types of grants...
My Financial Aid Awards:
Dean's Scholarship - $7,000
Rochester National Grant - $4,00
Rochester National Grant Supplement - $2,000
Rochester Undergraduate Grant - $2,600
Federal Work Study Eligibility - $3,000
Federal Direct Subsidized Loan - $4,500
Federal Direct Unsubsidized Loan - $2,000
So basically... I get ~$12,000 "cash" and $4,500 loans [can't take the $2,000 because of interest >_<;] and lol idk what I'm going to do about workstudy... So lazy and don't wanna work D:

Orgo Attempt #781236289476235
Yeah so I'm once again inspired to study for orgo [by that stupid guy in the forums with 4.0GPA and 42 MCAT score... <-- I want... GPA impossible, but MCAT score isn't impossible yet~ -hopeful-]. I basically spent the whole day so far [2:30pm]doing problem after problem of nomenclature... and just for alkanes and cycloalkanes/haloalkanes too >_<;;; [Not much to do at work beacuse they're waiting for a guy to come and team them how to use the new double-staining kit, and he's not coming till like next week, so not much to do]
I have just a few questions about orgo:
1. Why is it 6-ethyl-4,5-dipropylnonane and not 4-ethyl-5,6-dipropylnonane???
2. Wtf is iso/sec/tert/neo???
3. What's "the maximum number of substituents" rule??
4. When do you use tert vs 1,1-dimethylethyl?
5. How do you know when C becomes sextet??
6. WHERE ARE NUMBERS 19 AND 20 IN CHP 1 [I ONLY SEE 18 THEN 22]?!?!?!
7. How do you find the shortest/longest bond in a molecule?
8. How do you tell if something's acid/base/nucleophilic/electrophilic if it's something like MgBr2 or H2S?
--The End-- [ARGHAD;FJAKL;F]

Hmm...
I've been thinking of what to post on my blog for the past few days... probably mostly to cover up my previous entry lol and I guess only thing I could think of was to write about what I was thinking of doing >_<;;
In a happier thought though, the AstraZeneca azn party on Saturday lightened up my mood since I could actually get to talk to people my age-ish in person. I realized I don't think I can eat excessive amounts of meat... Apparantly a hamburger, a chicken wing, and Sichuan noodles are too much for my stomach to digest. Well and apparantly a small bowl of "wan zi tang [azn meatball soup]" with rice was too much too. Argh. No tennis, no food, this summer sucks D: I blame myself for basically going vegetarian [not on purpose though] throughout the beginning of the summer.
One more month before school starts :D! Oh and my ankle brace came, so I can actually play tennis/do some sports now :D

I want to go back to school and like never come back home again...
The status is self explanatory, though of course I would want to come back home because of my bro, but I am debating whether to return for Thanksgiving and Spring Break now.
Yes I'm in one of those emo moods that I haven't been since high school. Why? Because I'm back home again. Maybe I just can't handle my mom anymore. Maybe I can't handle her words anymore because I've been getting used to college life. Or rather, a life without anyone telilng me everything I'm doing is wrong, a life without every problem in the house blamed on me... well I guess since I'd be the only one in "the house", every problem would be blamed on me... but it's less anyways. If it was a huge mistake I made, and got yelled at, sure it's reasonable, but if I'm getting blamed for every little thing that's happening around the house... I don't know...
She yelled at me from home to work this morning for forgetting to turn off the light in the car. I didn't even turn on the light... she probably turned it on and forgot to turn it off, but of course, I have to maintain my emotionless state and just listen. Except this time... she got pissed off at my being emotionless and not talking back and started yelling about that. I really don't know what I can do or what I can say. Now, I can't even plead the 5th >_<.
I've currently reached the max I can handle right now and therefore is in an emo state. Hopefully, this emo state will go away soon, and won't happen again in a while because the themometer's been reset again. Maybe dramas and games will help. Though the problem with that... she was saying how just because I had gotten my computer back last night, I stopped playing piano. But I haven't played piano for a week and I'm not even wasting her money taking classes, so I don't see why she's pissed off.
I have realized... if I hadn't kept this emotionless state throughout high school, I probably would have committed suicide already. Maybe that's why I'm so messed up as a person. Am I even qualified to be a person? I fit the descriptions of a robot better. I'll probably stay emotionless until I'm out of the house. People have wondered why I'm like this and they try to "fix me" but I'm probably better off/safer staying emotionless. Stop trying until I get my own job/apartment... and maybe even my own life.
I have too many psychological problems. I probably should get a psychiatrist. Except they don't do much, we don't have money, and I or rather, my mom, wouldn't have time to bring me to one either, so in the end, I'm not going to get one. Maybe I just need company. Maybe I'm just lonely and want attention. I want my dad to come back and stay back. I want these two years my dad has left of residency/fellow to pass really quickly. Of course, since I will be waiting for the end of my junior year of college, it's going to come really slowly. Things are always like that. You never seem to get what you want, but rather the opposite. Why does life suck so much. I want to finish college, get into med school, finish med school, get into residency, become a good doctor, and have my own family.
Okay that last paragraph of Lan being extremely idealistic and just reading it voer again... half of those things probably aren't going to happen. Why? Because I'm lazy and don't like to study, so I probably won't get into med school. Argh. I can't seem to do anything right.
I need to go push a button and coverslip some slides. Maybe I'll post some more selfish complaints later.
Oh and my right ankle is still in pain =.=;... Because I'm stupid and went to play soccer with my bro [a month later after I hurt it >_<] and kinda hurt it again.

Orgo Fun~
Yeah beacuse of my awesome ability to time things right, I decided to start, like actually start [aka doing next year's homework problems] studying for orgo, right when I actually start getting busy at work. Yay everything works out so well.
My comments about orgo homework? OMG WHY DOES EVERY PROBLEM HAVE A-I T________T... It takes me like a page to do one problem, hence like 10-15mins-ish to do one problem. I have realized my attention span is only about an hour, so I start getting bored after doing four problems... four pages of problems sounds better :D; [Euphemisms ftw >_<]
Oh as an update on my horrendous schedule next year... I emailed my counselor and I'm like "PLZZZZ TAKE MY HOLD OFF, I NEED TO DROP A SCIENCE CLASS T.T" So my counselor took the hold off [the hold as in something that prevents me from registering/dropping courses]. So I dropped Anatomy + Lab for Conversational Chinese and Linguistics [social science cluster hopefully... if I can't do well in linguistics, I'm literally screwed for social science because I suck at history more and history requires like 15page essays and like 6 books to read... I'm not going to have enough time for that >_<]
So now... I'm taking 20,5 credits: Animal Behavior [4.5 credits: extra 0.5 because I'm taking it with the writing portion for my W class requirements], Molecular Genetics [4 credits], Molecular Genetics Lab [1 credit], Organic Chemistry [4 credits], Organic Chemistry Lab [1 credit], Linguistics [4 credits], Conversational Chinese [2 credits].
4.5+5+1+4+1+4+2 = 9.5+5+7 = 14.5+7 = what?...
OH I wrote 5 credits for genetics instead of four
Attempt number 2:
4.5+4+1+4+1+4+2 = 8.5+5+7 = 13.5+7 = 20.5
w00t I can still add despite like more than a year without math :D

My Opinion on Social Science
I HATE SOCIAL SCIENCE AND ITS CLASSES WITH A PASSION >:[ ALSDKFJALSDKFJASLD;KFJAKL; YOU ARE RUINING MY LIFE AND COLLEGE CAREER RIGHT NOW >:(
Getting busy now ><;
I've actually been given projects to work on >_<;; so I'm getting busy now... Though argh this morning... I must've ran up/down the stairs four times within an hour time because of the stupid Ventana machine.
So I started a run last night, or rather I delayed it to start at 7:30 this morning, and I was supposed to put the primer on at 9:00 but when I went up at 9:10 [yeah intense traffic this morning... I left the house at 8:20... It took us like 40mins to drive like ... 7miles...] to put the primer on and then I see that the Run Completion bar on top of the screen said 0% and that I was signed off. I was like wtf why'd that happen D: Maybe I made a mistake in the start time! So I went to get my supervisor. She came up and she's like wtf, so we started the run for the second time, skipping the deparafinization portion of the run because the tissues looked deparafinized after we opened the machine to check the slides.
I was supposed to put the primer on at 10:50, so at 10:40, I went up and 'lo and behold, the run completion was 0% AGAIN. I ran downstairs from the lab [since my lab and office are on different floors] and went to bother my superviser AGAIN. This time, we noticed a statement saying something about the EZPrep. My azn supervisor then asked my white supervisor what this was, and she was also like wtf. So my azn supervisor thought maybe the pressure was wrong or something with the EZPrep, so she took that out, and put it back in again. After, we started the run once again.
Guess what happened? So after like 13mins, the machine started beeping saying there was something wrong with the EZPrep. By now, my azn supervisor was like "okay this experiment is like fail bcause we've run it too many times, so now let's keep running it to try to get the machine to work."
This time, we filled the EZPrep more, since it was low [even though the machine said there was enough] and started the run AGAIN. We took out the deparafinization and the cell conditioning steps for this run. This time, I literally sat there for 35 mins watching the machine, making sure nothing happens again. So after it got past the EZPrep stage, I went downstairs to ask my supervisor what to do with the slides and she told me to just stop the run and throw them away, since they're probably bad by now anyways. She said we'll just have to rerun this next Wednesday, because my white supervisor needed to use it Monday and Tuesday.
Yeah so that was my morning until like 11:00am. After that... my azn supervisor gave me this huge list of ID numbers of something and input them into Spectrum database... and I've only finish one outta four pages so far because it's so freaking long and tedious. Arggggggggggg I wanna go home and sleep T_____T...
I doubt I'm going home anytime soon because my mom hasn't finished her work yet, but she has a volleyball tournament [company tournament]at 2pm [1 min from now]... then she needs to finish her huge load of work... [why does she even play if she has so much to do >_<;;;?]

Update on my laptop
So apparantly the box that was supposed to be sent to me to put my laptop in and ship back to them was delayed, and apparantly the box was sent to me at around 11:00am this morning [while I was sitting here doing absolutely nothing... oh attempting to learn orgo since, after talking to my mom's friend, whose son is probably going to medical school either this year or next year, I got some inspiration to do better] So in actuality... Tonight's the last night I'll have my laptop T_________________T and I'm like extremely tired, so I can't even stay up really late to watch drama >_<;;; [Speaking of... I just started watching Ghost Friends, despite the lame name, and saw episode 1 of Koishite Akuma ~Vampire Boy [Shintaro :D w/Nakaken~ and Nakayama Yuma] RAW yesterday, since it aired Tuesday night, Japan time.]
Oh as an update on my work... I'm actually getting my own projects to work on now x_X so I'll be busy and probably not as much time to update this blog... but we'll see... so like basically:
my azn supervisor: I know all you've been doing is like printing labels, coverslipping slides, and pushing buttons... but here's a project for you to do! You better not mess up! Any quesitons?
me: O.O... uhhh What do you do?

Lunar Eclipse
I just remembered [because my bro's been waiting for today for like months] that there's a lunar eclipse tonight... except it's like raining so idk if we'll get to see anything... but still... 7/7/09 = Lunar Eclipse~ I'm sure my bro's gonna wait for it all night tonight ><;
[Edit] I was just searching through the NASA website and read:
July's penumbral eclipse is only of academic interest since the magnitude is just 0.156. Although the Moon will be above the horizon from most of Canada (Figure 4), the eclipse is so minor as to be completely invisible to the naked eye.
Meaning we'll probably see nothing T.T... Oh well, we'll just wait a few days for the solar eclipse on July 22nd, 2009 [Edit: Apparantly we're not getting that full solar eclipse either... unless you're in Asia... Youtube ftw!]
2009 Jul 07: Penumbral Lunar Eclipse
2009 Jul 22: Total Solar Eclipse
2009 Aug 06: Penumbral Lunar Eclipse
2009 Dec 31: Partial Lunar Eclipse

m(___)m- zZzZzZzZzZzzzzzzzzzz....
Yeah the title explains how I'm feeling today... I don't even know why... I slept from 11pm - 7am and I'm still extremely tired. There must be something wrong with me... I kinda just want to go back home and sleep now :( Summer sucks. At least I get to sleep till like 8:15-ish every MWF and whenever I want every TR... [R = Thursday]
I hate to say this but... I WANNA GO BACK TO SCHOOL T_______________T
Of course the ideal situation would be to go back to school and not have to take any classes but since that is not possible...
But for classes reason, I also DON'T want to go back to school because I'll be so screwed for my science classes, since I haven't started prepping for them at all... Zech made me realize last night that I haven't gotten any studying done at all while he has... ARGH I FEEL SO UNPRODUCTIVE BUT TOO LAZY TO DO ANYTHING... AAAAAAARGHEHADFJAHSFRHASDFASDFSLDKFALSDFKAARATAGRAGAGRRRRRGGGGZZZZZZZZZZZzzzzzzzzzz <-- yeah you'll need to say that out loud [Edit: in one breath] to figure out my true feelings today, but it represents more emotion than I've displayed in a really long time :D;

Noooooooo my computer T________T
So my computer is going to get sent away for repairs either tomorrow night or wednesday night because of the following reasons:
1. The left button on mouse on touchpad is like fail; it doesn't click.
2. The computer fan fails and so my computer heats up really quickly and stays at like 100oC... and the stupid external fan I bought from UR's store broke -_-;;; so that needs to get fixed
3. The hinges on my computer are like fail because the right one's broken, so basically... like the right half of my screen was partially falling off until my dad spent like an hour thursday night trying to fix it... so now it's sorta fixed, but I can't tilt the screen farther than 90o ><;
So I won't have a computer for a while... because it'll probably take like 2-3 days or 3-5 days for it to ship back, and they said the mechanic will take 8-10 days to fix it, and then it'll take another 2-3 or 3-5 days to ship back... so basically... my computer will be gone for like at least two weeks T_______________T...
[HOW AM I GOING TO WATCH DRAMAS NOW?!?! *SOBS*! Atleast Futatsu no Spica comes out tonight... I'll just have to miss two weeks of Konkatsu!, a week of Futatsu no Spica, two weeks or Mr. BRAIN, two weeks of Easy Fortune Happy Life, uhhh... two weeks of Aishteru [though one week if I watch it Tuesday before I send it off...]... hmm there must be more dramas than this... no wonder I'm rather bored these days... Oh I was going to watch I Do?, since it came out last year... but now I won't be able to watch past what I've already watched last night, aka till ep 5 outta 20 episodes total :(... and I did watch ep 1 and 2 of Fighting Spirit... since I didn't have anything else to watch, but only 2 eps so idk yet... and 2eps comes out a week so I'll miss like 4 eps of it ><; wow... so much catching up to do in like August... and I still needa start studying too argh a;dfkla'sdl;]

Dean's List 2
So I just got home like 10minutes ago and there was two letters for me from University of Rochester. The first one I opened was the "Tuition Refund Plan", just in case I die or drop outta school... which means, just in case I die, my parents get a full refund. Except this plan costs $200+ so there's no way my parents are going to get it, so that's going into the trash.
The second letter is my Dean's List letter! Yay! Yes this is 25% cotton too. I'm going to put that where my other Dean's List Letter is... now where did my mom put that anyways.................. -going to look, bye-

Update on the weather
So it's been really wet these days... and rainy/gloomy today. It was extremely dark outside until just recently and it's already 9:44am ><;; I wonder how my mom and bro are going to go camping in this rainy weather... apparantly, it's raining more at Cape Cod.
Ohhh look, what lovely weather we're going to have...[extended forecast]... yay for more wetness and T-storms today...
So about the Hershey thing... my mom was like "lol all you'll be eating is chocolate... so bad for you >:[ and we'll have to take a few days off because PA = too far away" ><;; but she didn't completely reject the idea! which is a good sign :D
In other news, apparantly a flight had to land ["was diverted"] in a random place because this guy was dancing naked on the plane *and* they had a medical emergency... Talk about nice timing for the guy to dance naked... Also, in the news was about this guy who fell off his hospital bed, and ended up winning 5mil after he and his wife sued the hospital O.o... At the end of the article, it said the hospital's going to appeal... no really... 5mil o.O... [of course if that 5mil was in mesos xDD Wahhh I want all my mesos in MS to be my real money T.T... I'd be happy even if they took like ...four 0s off... maybe even six 0s off... [$30 isn't that bad..., if I still all my stuff, I might end up with like $100...]
TODAY FEEEEEEEEEELS LIKE FRIDAYYYYYYYYYYYY AND FRIDAY = <3 SO I AM HAPPY IT'S THE LONG WEEKENDDDDDDD YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY! [yeah idk what's wrong with me]

Vacation?
My mom, in the car this morning, told me to plan to go somewhere on one weekend... But like we can't really play that much for only one weekend >_<;;; so it kinda fails... So I was searching this morning for places to go to and somehow, I ended up in Hershey, Pennsylvania and thought, my bro would love to go to Hershey, the Park and see how chocolate is made and everything. I haven't told my mom yet, but I feel like she's not gonna go >_<;; we'll see...
In other news about my life... I spent the whole day basically at the computer because my superviser wanted me to look up and make data sheets for a few antibodies... and by look up, she means look them up on their companies' websites, which weren't cooperating. Though, I think it might be the internet that wasn't cooperating, but same diff... so the pages were taking so long to load >_<;; but yeah I finished that now and is waiting to leave at around 4:45/5 since Grandma has a doctor's appointment [physical therapy, I think] at 5:30. I'm hoping to stay home today because I wanna sleep early tonight... I've been sooooooo tired these days... I was forcing myself not to fall asleep during work today ><;;; I really don't know why... I think it's because I've been too used to too much sleep. Normally 7hrs of sleep would be plenty, but now, I'm really tired after 7hrs of sleep.
Symptoms: Memory loss, fatigue, maturity
Treatment: NONE
Diagnosis: I'M GETTING OLD T_____________________T
HA there's my first step of becoming a doctor! Yay! -Victory Sign-

Interesting Checkmate
So I got kinda bored and was playing Chess on iGoogle [farily easy to beat] and I somehow got an interesting checkmate... Checkmated totally by accident lol (top left)
and then I was playing again later on [this sentence is an edit] and thought it'd be interesting to... [look at the picture :D; (bottom right)]

An update... on maybe the world?
First things first: VOTE ON MY POLL! IT'S THERE FOR YOU TO VOTE!
Since I've been reading the news lately [and since I'm kinda bored at work right now because my supervisors are busy doing their stuff that I can't really help them on... that's due tomorrow too...] on http://thebostonchannel.com and yahoo
news, I thought I should post something about what going on with the rest of the world... and update this blog more now that I have some time to.
Bostonchannel first:
Aside from the big headlines I see when I first enter the page, I go straight to the "Weird News" section [yes it does exist] of the website. Hmm... there are only 3 new ones...
1. Ore. Man's Wallet Resurfaces After 63 Years
-- That'd be pretty cool actually... I'd be nice if I could find something I lost now in 63 years. It'd be so nostalgic...
2. Surgery Gives Man Round Head Again
-- so this one's about plastic surgeons reforming the head of a man injured in a motorcycle accident, for FREE. There are actually nice doctors out there; ones who actually care about the patients, and are not just doing it for money. I wanna be like him -envies-. Oh the article said that right after the crash, the patient didn't have enough money to piece his skull back together, so the doctors, in order to keep the skull alive, put the piece in this "tummy". Wtf stomach o.O. I wonder how that would feel............
3. Boy To Customs: The Dog Ate My Passport
-- hahahahaha except it's true... >_<;; Imagine being the airport people hearing this... I'd totally be like wtf but lol
Yahoo News
Since this has more, I'm just going to comment on some of the interesting ones.

4. Ace the Interview Questions -- this is kinda useful, except I haven't really been asked these in an Interview yet... [nor have I been rejected from a job that interviewed me either now that I think of it... -brags- :D;;]
What’s your greatest weakness?
It’s an interview cliche, but it still gets asked. The key is to come up with something that is truthful, yet doesn’t impact your ability to do the job, according to career coach and blogger, Miriam Salpeter. More important than what you identify as a weakness is the part about how you’ve overcome it. Salpeter offers this example: A computer programmer might say, “Speaking in front of very large crowds really scares me, but I’ve been working on becoming a better public speaker. I’ve joined Toastmasters, and I stand up in front of my mirrror, pretending there is a crowd.” It's a good one because public speaking is something most people are afraid of, and it is also not likely to be essential to a job as a programmer. One thing you should never say, says Salpeter, is that you are a perfectionist because no one wants to work with a perfectionist. If you want to know why, read this spot-on post by Penelope Trunk.
So tell me about yourself? (Also posed as “Why do you think you’re the person for this job?” “Why should we hire you?” “What distinguishes you from other candidates?”)
This is not an invitation to recite your biography. It is an opportunity to draw out the parts of your story that best sell you for the position. So if you were born and raised in Boston and are passionate about the city, that might a good topic for conversation in an interview for a marketing position with the Boston Red Sox. But it wouldn’t necessarily be worth mentioning if you were talking about a job in international banking. If you’re fluent in three languages, have worked overseas, and have parents who hail from outside the U.S., then those facts would be good ones to highlight in the interview for the international banking job.
Talk about a time you failed and how you recovered.
Since we all mess up from time to time, the important thing is that you choose something where you can demonstrate what you’ve learned from the experience. A classic example here would be a time that you took on too much responsibility or agreed to do something on an unreasonable timetable, according to career coach and resume writer, Chandlee Bryan. Your recovery could be as simple as the fact that you now feel comfortable raising concerns about what you can deliver on a given schedule.
What changes would you make to our company if you came on board?
This one can set you up to stumble in a variety of ways, according to Ford R. Myers, author of the new book, “Get the Job You Want Even When No One is Hiring.” "No matter how comfortable you feel in this situation, you are still an outsider, and don't know the inside story,” warns Myers. “Even if your suggestions are good, you might make them look like idiots, if they don’t see things your way. And if you say something that doesn’t align with the company’s culture, then you look like an idiot.” Myers recommends saying something like this: “I wouldn’t be a very good doctor if I gave my diagnosis before examining the patient. If I were hired, I’d take a very good look at what’s going on, speak to a lot of people. And after examining the entire situation, I would come to you with a proposal for your input, and collaboratively we would come up with a solution.”
Why are you returning to a field or a company you left?
The key with this one is to present your time away as a learning experience and focus on what you know now that you didn't understand before, says Chandlee Bryan. Say you were in banking, helping to evaluate companies for mergers and acquisitions and went for a stint to a startup. You’ll now be able to say that you understand the start-up mentality from more than just a balance street perspective. You might want to add that the time away helped you understand why you are more suited to working in a large organization than in a small one, or some other observation about the difference in cultures and why the one you left is a better fit for you.
On a completely random note, I had to get a ride from Eric Y. today to work because my mom and her friends with kids the same age as my bro are forming their own camp and it's like a day at a parent's house and so today it's at my house. I made up their schedule and it's like math/english/writing/chinese and of course there needs to be fun time~ I'm also getting a ride back from Eric too... since my mom doesn't have time to pick me up >_<

Wheee colors~ [Blog Color Change 6/29/09]
I've been playing around with the colors of my blog... the red looks a bit awkward... but I figured I should change the colors around a bit to make it look more colorful rather than just black and white so this is what I ended up with :D;;;
Blog Color Change: 6/29/09
Blog Color Change: 6/29/09
Finally... an update...
Yeah... I haven't updated in a really long time...........
Well, anyways... an update about my life [this might be long or short depending on how much I feel like ranting]
Oh before the random update of my life... I wonder how you put up a poll on blogger... -looking it up...- Ohh you don't do it in your message... so... I'll up a poll later on ... maybe a few polls just to satisfy my curiosity
So... I've been working at AstraZeneca, a huge pharmaceutical company [Nexium/Crestor] and apparantly ranked pretty high in "best places to work at" because everyone's like really nice and I get my own computer/desk and like office supplies, which this guy delivered to me and I was like wtf is this...
I'm working in Research and Development -- Cancer -- Cancer Biomarker -- IHC -- HumanTissueBank aka histology group... I've been doing some miscellaneous stuff like organizing the tissue bank... and helping out with some lab work like making labels for the slides and the mose useful skill I've mastered so far: coverslipping slides perfectly. Except right now... my managers aren't here so... I'm going to finally update my blog and play around with blogger for a while...
Aside from work, I was playing tennis until I sprained my ankle like June 17th playing with Eric (et) and now I needa wear this stupid brace thing for at least 3 weeks and then some other brace thing while doing any sports for 3 months after that... I wanna play tennis T_______________T
I've been trying to prep for orgo/genetics/anatomy... except yeah... that's kinda failing right now because I'm getting lazy... Though I've recently just gotten a bit of motivation to study orgo because I found all the orgo homework questions I need to do next semester online so I'm gonna start doing them, following a syllabus, instead of blindly just reading orgo. I actually can't wait to start prepping for MCATs... Multiple Choice questions exite/motivate me for some reason... except I can't do them again since I usually remember the answers after doing it once, though my memory is getting kinda bad receently, which brings me to the topic of my next paragraph.
I've been feeling extremely tired recently and I don't know why. Maybe it's the stress of waking up early in the morning [7:45 weekdays T_T] and mom dragging me everywhere... since anyone who knows me would know I prefer staying inside to going everywhere [yeah I'm antisocial ><]. I also can't seem to sleep past 11am anymore lol... I used to be extremely good at that... but that makes it good for next school year. I don't want my schedule to be messed up like last year.
Speaking of schedule... my next semester's schedule is x_X... I'm so screwed for my classes if I don't get a head start over summer. I'm taking Organic Chemistry w/lab, Mammalian Anatomy w/lab, Molecular Genetics w/lab, and Animal Behavior. And of course the awesome thing is that the're the first four classse the school offers on MWF... so basically I have class from 9am --> 1pm nonstop on MWF, so I was like ehh w/e and put all my recitations and labs on MWF too, so I wouldn't have to walk outside my dorm on Tues and Thurs.
I'm not sure what else to say? Oh right... my social life that doesn't exist >_<... Hmmm... friends wise? A lot of them went back to China/Taiwan... Most of my high school friends just got out of school and I haven't had time to really hang out with any of them because of work. I probably won't be able to, since I plan on working until August 21st... Yeah so my social life sucks. Love life? Hahahahahha, that's funny... I don't plan on focusing on that part of my life for a while... by a while I mean at least a year or a few years, even though many people have been bothering me about it... -cough- you know who you are -cough-
Hmm... Christine's random gtalk IM message just reminded me that I am in need of a laptop again! and an iPod... Well not really me in need of a laptop, but more like my mom/bro wants one and they're thinking I should just buy a new one and they keep my old one cuz I suck at taking care of laptops ><;
Wow I haven't written a long post like this in a while... This might even beat the record for my other post... I guess I have quite a bit to talk about, even if it is about my life. Probably because I haven't posted anything in a while so I actually have something to say, rather than if I posted every day.
So yeah, I'll be playing around with blogger for the rest of the day, since no one's here :D

Happy St. Patrick's Day [Happy Beef Day...]
It's like beef day in Danforth... Because English was cancelled this morning, I decided to sleep through chem since I'm still sick.
Anyways, so below is a list of everything I've eaten today...
Lunch
1. Oriental Beef Noodle Soup
2. Corned Beef Sandwich
3. This like beef stew thing with rice
Dinner
1. Oriental Beef Noodle Soup
2. Corned Beef [not sandwich]
Notice anything similar? I've eaten more meat than I normally would probably in like a week >.<; [Because veggies = <3]. So I decided to make a PB&J sandwich just to spite the beef-ness... <3 PB&J
Yay, so Happy St. Patrick's Day and Beef Day~

Hazelnut Flavored Italian Soda
An Italian soda is basically seltzer, syrup, and ice mixed together. I've tried kiwi, banana, and now hazelnut. I must say, the kiwi is definitely the best. They put way too much hazelnut syrup in this one. It tastes really good when you hold your nose and drink it, but not that great when you let go of your nose ><;; I like it mostly for the ice :D ice <3

A Kinda Late Realization [To future me: read this]
I'm sitting here, unable to fall asleep, so what do I do? I clean my desk and write a huge "To-Do List" of things I need to get done by the end of this week and they have little boxes on the right side of the names so I can have the pleasure of checking the box off, every thing on the list I get done [yes I'm easily amused/happy]. Then I started cleaning the little table where people with desktops put their keyboards. It had a pair of pink with dark-yellow stripe gloves, three Chinese takeout menus, my Dean's Letter, the letter that said the school approved the appeal I submitted for taking an overload of courses this semester [24 credits], a copy of my appeal, a small bag of those crunchy snack peas, the letters people sent me in my care package, an empty bandage case, a marker I found during orientation a few doors down, two rulers [including a stress testing ruler thing], a small "envelope" that had my address on it around 2x4 inches big, a tiny pair of scissors, one big pink eraser and one of those good HI-POLYMER white erasers [Which were both new, since I started using pen in college], three highlights I got from TOPS the Supermarket, a business card from the University Health Center with its fax written on it because they kept not getting my health forms, 6 mini highlighters I bought with my mom at Walgreen's before I came to college during the Back-to-School Sales, a green PAPERMATE 0.7 lead mechanical pencil, and finally, what this post was based on, 20 pens, half of them my dad brought me when he went to Syracuse for an interview and came here to see me, since Syracuse is around 1.5 hours drive away from here. It just made me realized how must I actually appreciate my parents, bringing the "thick" pens I specifically asked for them when I called them a few days before. It just made me realized how much they've done for me. Sure I'm writing this the "night" after they called me like twice and spammed me many times about forgiving my TA for making mistakes and how I shouldn't be mad. since that's useless, and a waste of 90 minutes of my time, listening to their lectures, but I guess that's all forgotten right now as I organize those pens. Yeah... this post isn't like the usual me. Maybe I'm just tired since it is past 2:00 AM, but I'm going to say that it's one of the most important posts I'm going to post on this blog, and it has been so far my most important post on this blog.
I'm bored
So I spent like 3hrs playing stepmania and like another 3 hrs watching things, and like an hour of chem lab report, and another hour eating Chinese food >.<; I feel so unproductive... but then of course I see Jenn's status: http://woodgears.ca/eyeball/<-- omg addicting... yeah... I got a 3.82 >< [stupid random 12 in the triangle center thing], so anyways... I think I should go study now ><;

Dean's List
So in college, instead of the "honor roll" they have something called "Dean's List" which, in my opinion, is easier to get in because it has a minimum 3.4 GPA requirement... and that's not that hard. Anyways, so they send you this letter on a piece of paper that's 25% cotton [yes it says on the paper if you shine light on the back and see through it] and it has a pretty sticker of the school's logo on the bottom :D
How to Get Rich [interesting story econ teacher told us]
So there's this guy who owns a store and as he was walking back to his store, he saw a huge line he's like "why's there a huge line?" Then he gets there and sees a sign on the door "Selling cheap TVs" and there was a huge line of people waiting. He's like "What? I don't have any TVs."
The police investigated later and found out that two guys put that sign on the door, stayed there all night, waited till the line got long, and sold their spot in line.

Apples and Cheese
I just came from Goergeon after buying the last spinach portebello on a ciabatra [<3] and a cup of "Apples and Cheddar". I saw other people buying it and wondered why the apples were in a cup with cheddar cheese. I tried eating the apple with the cheese, except you couldn't really taste the cheese. Then I tried eating the cheese first, then an apple, but then the cheese flavor was gone. So I tried eating the apple first and then the cheese and the cheese left a good aftertaste. So now I'm eating all the apples first and then finishing the cheese afterwards so I can get the good cheddar taste in the end. Yes I'm a bit bored and I needa copy my lab notebook and then go to work >.<;; [Technically I'm supposed to be at work right now, but I'm gonna eat something even though I'm not hungry because I have lab tonight until like 8:30 since I heard this was a long lab.] Ohh, I finished the apples and now I'm onto the cheese. Mmmmm cheese... I think I'm gonna go photocopy my lab notebook now. Bye.

Homework...
I haven't felt like this since like... Sophomore year in high school where I had Valsamis's project and Moran's English essay due the next day and stayed up to 5:30am working on them. So I'm writing my minimum 5 page essay on Beowulf for Thursday, so I can study for chem test tomorrow and Wednesday, though I should be studying for my Chinese and Bio test tomorrow, and preparing for a debate in English class on Wife of Bath. Why is everything packed on one week?!?! I'm gonna go cry and go back to my stupid essay...

Chinese New Years
lol so apparantly my bro had to sing for my mom's company's Chinese New Years Party the olympics song [wo he ni] and my parents sent me a picture:
Speaking of Chinese New Years Party, our school has China Night tonight... so we're like spending the whole day practicing >.<;; we have like a lunch break right now so I'm posting this up and yeah... it's required for mandarin class. It's like 5% of our grade... and they chose like the most embarrassing song for us to sing ><;;
[and omg I have 3 tests, 2 lab reports, and 1 English essay due next week T_T]

Complaint Post
I need one of these too >.> [this is a reason why I created a blog :D] because this thing called homework finally appeared and I'm not sure how to deal with it because I'm too sick/dizzy to work on any of it and it's like all reading.
Complaint Officially Starts [ignore run-ons... they're purposeful]:
I need to read pages 3 - 89 for Thursday and pages 89 - 213 for next Tuesday (It's better since half the book's in another language ><; so I only need to read half that amount), and I need to read a 7 page scientific paper by tomorrow [that he assigned like a few hours ago...] and I'll be reading more scientific papers and getting quizzed on them in bio recitation tomorrow and I have to buy the stupid lab manual for $40 tomorrow between 11:45 and 12:00, which sucks because mandarin ends at 11:50, so I have 10 minutes to run to Hutchinson and buy the things and then I need to go to a doctor's appointment for this stupid throat that's been killing me for the past week at 1:00pm, and then there's stupid mandarin singing practice at 8pm tomorrow because we need to sing this stupid song while carrying guitars and chasing girls... for China Night, like perform it on stage and everything, but of course my throat issues make it really easy for me to sing >.> and since our class only has 5 people in it... I can't even lip-synch...Oh and mandarin homework is due Friday and chem lab starts Thursday, so I have to preview the lab because they specifically sent us an email telling us to preview the lab before hand and I have to preview bio lab too that's the week after because our TA specifically sent out an email telling us to preview it and I have work Thursday between mandarin and lab... [I'm hoping they have spinach portabellas in goergeon on Thursday because they didn't have them today and I was really pissed off because I had to walk to Wilson to get sushi since I wasn't that hungry], like Mandarin ends 1:40 and I needa be at work by 2, so I'll eat and walk since it's a 15 minute walk and then I need to get back in time for my 5:30 lab, maybe eat before lab because eating after 7 is bad for me, and I also have work on Friday at like 12:30... aka during lunch so I'll need to walk and eat for that so I'm hoping they have those sandwiches on Fridays too... which reminds me, work on Mondays is also during lunch, so I hope they have them on Mondays, Thursdays, and Fridays or I'll be really depressed and eat like... bagle ham and cheese sandwich or something or just not eat because I'd be too lazy to walk from lattimore to wilson to work... they're basically opposite directions which also reminds me that I should post a map of University of Rochester on my blog so people'll know what I'm actually talking about... maybe I'll do that in a next post... I think I'm going to go to sleep because the tylenol PM is starting to work, which also reminds me, I'm almost out of Tylenol PM, so I'll need to go to Walmart this weekend again and hopefully, it won't be as bad as my last Walmart adventure because hopefully, I'll go earlier, or if my dad comes and visits me, I'll get a ride from him and that'll be nice... anyways... I'm done ranting for now... Oh wait, my chem teacher is really boring this semester... I almost fell asleep during class >.<;; okay, actual finish, Night.

Walmart Adventure :D
So I went to Walmart today...well, tonight... with Enoch after eating a really healthy dinner [sarcasm] at Danforth to buy water because it's really dry here and the water tastes really bad and is really expensive. I bought a pack of Ricola The Original Natural Herb Cough Drops to soothe my throat because it supposedly "Fights Coughs Naturally" and "Soothes Sore Throats". Oh and to add to that, it's from Switzerland. I also bought a box of KIX, honey KIX, Kid-Tested and Mother-Approved! Along with that I bought a pack of hot dogs and bread.
So then we tried to catch the 9:41 bus and got there around 9:40pm and waited there for like 15mins in the cold and found that the bus wasn't coming and we were like freezing, so Enoch checked the time of the next bus, which was 10:16pm, so we were like screw that and went back to Walmart to defrost. Then we came back out at like 10:10pm to wait for the bus and as we were walking there, we saw other kids walking towards Walmart, so we were like oh crap the bus must've left. Apparantly the bus came early and left both times. So we're like okay, we're not going back to Walmart anymore, we'll just wait outside for the 10:36pm bus. While we were waiting I called Kyumin and Stephen X to complain :D. Of course because we were outside waiting this time, the bus came late. It came around 10:40pm while in the middle of the "conversation" with Stephen [more like me complaining to Stephen and Stephen + Enoch talking about Starcraft, since Stephen was watching random Starcraft replays].
And that's the end of our awesome Walmart adventure :D "That was a great story; isn't reading fun? Woof"

Classes So Far~
So I've been to most of my lecture classes already and I guess it'll be "what I think about my classes" post
Biology 111 - Professor Minckley (wants to be called: Bob) - He's emo and seems like a fun teacher :D. The first thing he said was "No my name's not Tony Olek. I'm Bob Minckley, the skinny biology professor" and he's like "you don't need to know bio 110 so if you failed bio 110 you can still do well in this class; you can forget basically everything olek taught you and the format for his tests and everything about the class and still do well here". There's been one lecture so far (on natural selection) and he repeats the main points over and over again which is good because I still remember them... he must've said "this proves evolution by modification" like 53945385430 times throughout lecture >.< but at least I remember it... but it was an interesting lecture, I was surprised I could pay attention and take notes through the whole 50mins...
Chemistry 132 - Professor Farrar - Uhh... he's not interesting >.< This is like the only non-interesting class so far... but I've only had one class so far and it's like the introduction class so I don't know yet... it was crowded though... I think our class has like 330 people >.<
Examining Medieval Outsiders (WRT105) - Professor Castleberry (wants to be called Kristie) - She seems like a fun teacher though... we did an icebreaker first class [two truths and a lie] and her three statements were:
1. I was born in Alaska
2. My parents met in a mental hospital
3. I have a dog named Perkins
and people were like "it's 1", "no it's 3" and she's like "wait why isn't anyone guessing 2... does that say something about me...?" [the answer was 3] Oh this one person's was good. She's said:
1. I have a cat with 1 eye.
2. My house used to be a barn.
3. I was born on April Fools Day
Everyone's like o_O... this is hard... [the correct answer was 3]
-- fun class so far and she's a fairly hyper teacher so it'll be interesting... and apparantly it's going to be like Striz's Brit Lit class first semester, since the books are the same.
Mandarin 152 - Professor Zhang (wants to be called: Zhang Lao Shi) - lol our class shrunk to 5 people >.<. It's a bit like Mrs Pan's class except we go so many times faster... since we cover 20 chps in a year instead of 4... but basically the same book. Not much to say about mandarin, but it's a funny class since we go off topic a lot like Mrs Pan's class.

Hmm.
I've noticed I haven't posted any really useful thing on this blog... but I guess it's for me in the future to remember myself and I guess it'd be interesting to compare in the future...
Anyways... it's like huge snow storm blizzard thing, except it's like warm. It's warmer when it snows than when it doesn't snow... and I just went outside to buy the only English book Barnes and Noble didn't have Sir Gawain and the Green Knight. I'm taking "Examining Medieval [had to ask two people and consult the dictionary on my laptop's side bar to confirm the spelling] Outsiders" and lol the teacher's name is Prof Castleberry. The name fits so well...
I also had to go check mail because my Student Advantage Card arrived and I got mail from ITT Technical Institute saying it's to "Chun Wang". I wonder who that is... why's it my PO Box number D: -throws away the mail- and I got other random theater spam in mail...
Anyways, it's actually starting to get cold in my dorm room... I think the temperature just dropped below 70degs :O I need to go close the window now, bye.
